On April 5th, the first-grade students presented their community design project in front of the entire elementary school as the culmination of the fourth unit, Innovation and Design.
Design is a meaningful process through which they can improve their critical and creative thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration. They explored the school community, identifying needs and potential contributions. After generating several ideas, they selected one—Kiki, the idea provider, expressed inspiration from Roblox—and collaborated to design and construct a model. The special playground, OB, was born from this meticulous and diligent process.
The first graders’ aspiration is to present the proposal to school leaders, bringing OB to life! Should ISE approve their proposal, it will become the world’s only unique playground, exclusive to our school.
