Model UN is one of the fastest-growing school activities in the world. Simply put, Model United Nations is a simulation activity for middle, high school, and college students that involves research, writing, public speaking and debate. At an MUN conference, students assume the role of a country, organization, or person and work together with others in their committee to find solutions to major world issues.
Why is it important for the students? and How does it helps in their education and life?
At ISE, we prepare our students through consistent training and weekly MUN workshops including speaking skills, writing, and interpersonal skills.
G10 student’s testimonial:
“During my experience at the MUN conference, I got to encounter new people and listen to new ideas about worldly issues that need discussion and a solution. We, as students, often overlook the fact that we have limiting viewpoints because of the commonalities that we share in our community. Whether that community is something small such as your family or friends, or something on a larger scale, such as a school or even a country, we have similar backgrounds that allow us to see solutions to problems in a particular way. MUN allowed us to practice researching and understanding distinct viewpoints from our designated countries and expand our knowledge, utilizing that when debating our topics. Overall it helped me gain knowledge and build up the confidence to talk in front of large groups of people, and I would recommend trying it out if you are interested. I hope MUN will inspire you the way it did to me.
Thank you.“
