Dear ISE Community,
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that we have recently received a renewal of our approval for the Thai language and culture courses we are teaching at ISE.
As you may know, ISE is required to teach Thai language and culture to both Thai and non-Thai students are out school. The requirements differ a great deal between the two programs.
We were visited last May by a member of Sor Mor Sor, which is a quality assurance agency working with the Ministry of Education. The visit went well and we received a very positive report. The agency asked us to increase the amount of time allotted to our Thai-for-Thai program and we have done that this school year.
The National Educational Standards and Quality Assessment Organization (ONESQA) has issued ISE a certificate stating that we are approved for our educational standards and quality of our program. The certificate is hanging with our certificates from WASC and the Ministry of Education in the main office.
I would like to thank our Thai teachers for the excellent job they are doing in developing and teaching our classes. They attend training seminars at least once each year. Congratulations to Khun Parat, Khun Jintana, Khun Jim and Khun Prae.
The next visit will take place in April 2011 as part of our WASC accreditation self-study visit.
Sincerely,
Robert Brewitt
Superintendent
