It encourages students to become aware of themselves as thinkers, to become aware of the complexity of knowledge, and to recognize the need to act responsibly in an increasingly interconnected world. As a thoughtful and purposeful enquiry into different ways of knowing, and into different kinds of knowledge, the TOK program is composed almost entirely of questions, ranging from ageless questions to questions posed by contemporary life. Students will foster an appreciation of the quest for knowledge, in particular its importance, its complexities, and its human implications.

Creative, Action and Service (CAS)

“Creativity, Action and Service” is an integral component of the International Baccalaureate program. All ISE High School students participate in the CAS program beginning in Grade 11. The CAS activities are meant to be an enjoyable and rewarding, yet challenging part of every High School student’s ISE education. The aim of the program is to enhance students’ personal growth outside the classroom. The activities encourage the development of creative, physical and interpersonal skills. These meaningful experiences enable students to grow in the knowledge of life and inspire a sense of responsibility to serve the community. Participation in CAS allows students to share their energy and special talents while working cooperatively with others.
